    Confirms marriage settlement of 17 June 1824 of son Charles Richard Fox with Lady Mary his wife by which estates in Berkshire were settled to provide jointure for Lady Mary and in trust for sale after death of testator and said son, monies arising to be settled on issue. confirms marriage settlement of 17 June 1833 of son Henry Edward Fox with Lady Mary Augusta Coventry by which Wiltshire estates were settled confirms deeds 29 July 1831 and 29 January 1836 by which he conveyed land at Kensington to said Charles Fox confirms marriage settlement of daughter Mary Elizabeth with Right Honourable Thomas Atherton Lord Lilford. - to wife Elizabeth Lady Holland all estates and plantations in Jamaica; leasehold house in South Street, St George Hanover Square and furniture therein - Little Holland House and house and gardens late in occupation Mr Pocock and then Miss Vernon and situate at Kensington, to sister Lady Caroline Fox - land at Lambeth and elsewhere in Surrey to Right Honourable James Abercrombie speaker of the House of Commons in trust as Elizabeth Lady Holland shall appoint, in default for son Henry Edward Fox - manor of Abbotts Kensington, capital messuage called Holland House and lands, pleasure grounds and appurtenances and other lands in Kensington and Hammersmith and premises in Wiltshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire and Bedfordshire including premises comprised in marriage settlement of son Charles Richard Fox to following uses: (except estate at Foxley and advowson thereof in Wiltshire and Ampthill House and Bedfordshire estates hereinafter devised immediately after death of Lady Holland to son Charles Richard Fox) to use of Right Honourable George Viscount Morpeth and Frederick Dawes Danvers of the Duchy Office esquire for 1,000 years estates excepted above, to use of Lady Elizabeth Holland for life; then Foxley estate to son Henry Edward Fox in tail male, in default to cousin Henry Stephen Fox son of late uncle Henry Edward General Fox or whoever shall be entitled to the barony of Holland – intention to mark gratitude of said uncle for affectionate conduct with respect to estate at Foxley and secondly to annex said estate to Barony of Holland to uses as son Henry Edward Fox shall appoint, in default of appointment to him in tail male, in default to testator’s second son Charles Richard Fox, on determination of that estate during his lifetime to Most Noble Henry Marquis of Lansdowne and Benjamin Currey of Old Palace Yard, Westminster esquire during life of said Charles Richard Fox and to his sons or in default, daughters; in default as testator’s daughter Mary Elizabeth Lady Lilford shall appoint and to her heirs; in default of issue to uses as sister Caroline Fox shall appoint. aforesaid term of 1,000 years in trust to raise sums to satisfy any charges on estates - holds manor of Bishopstone, Wiltshire and other premises by lease for lives from Bishop of Salisbury; devises same to Marquis of Lansdowne and Benjamin Currey to pay rents reserved by said lease; trustees to purchase reversion of said leasehold premises if occasion arises - premises in Ampthill [listed, with quantities] after death of testator and wife to use of Charles Richard Fox then to his sons or daughters in tail; said Charles may charge estates to provide, with the jointure provided by her marriage settlement, £500 p.a for wife Mary, with £300 for jointure of any other wife he may marry; £5,000 for any purpose he wishes and £2,000 for portions of younger children [further details of trusts...] - to Elizabeth Lady Holland all books, paintings, prints, statues and other works of art, household furniture, wines and stores at Holland House and Ampthill Park - annuity paid through Messrs Drummonds to Madame Chastenay to be continued during her life - to John Allen esquire, master of Dulwich College, £1,500 and the small miniature of Oliver Cromwell given testator by Lady Diana Beauclerk and once property of Charles II which is hanging in the testator’s dressing room - to Henry Webster, share in Drury Lane Theatre of £300 - to Lord John Russel shares in Waterloo Bridge - to Charles George Beauclerk esquire of St Leonards, Sussex, shares in Regents Canal and small portrait of testator by Gauffier in the breakfast room at Holland House - to Earl of Lauderdale china vase with painted portrait of Francis Duke of Bedford on it in drawing room of Holland House and landscape by Canaletti in breakfast room at Ampthill Park; testator’s wife to replace these with pictures or ornaments - to Earl Grey large paper copy of Mr Fox’s History - to Earl of Carlisle models of Trajans Pillar and 2 obelisks in ormolu - to Reverend Mr Marsh, portrait of Bishop Douglas by Sir Joshua Reynolds at Ampthill Park and the little Elzivir Orrd bound in green morocco generally in dressing room - to Lord Lansdowne picture of Hope nourishing Love by Sir Joshua Reynolds; to Earl Granville a portrait of late Mr Canning by Hoppner - to Lord Seaford, copy of the Microcosm given by Mr Canning - To Right Honourable John Hookham Frere a small Homer given by Henry Webster and once the property of Sir Isaac Newton and a Horace by Farnaby given by General Romana - to James Abercromby portrait by Rathbone of late Mr Horner, or, if he already has one, the alabaster bust of Oliver Cromwell and 2 engravings of George Washington and General Lafayette in testator’s room and cast of small bust of Mr Allen - to John Wilson Fitzpatrick portrait of Lord Ossory by Philips at Ampthill Park and to his brother Richard framed and glazed print of Lord Ossory in testator’s dressing room - to his sister Mrs Vernon Smith, Lady Holland to give drawing of Lord Ossory by Mr Lane and to accept that by Sir Joshua Reynolds in testator’s room in return - Lady Holland to give testator’s cousins Lady Ann and Lady Gertrude Fitzpatrick, the drawing of Houghton hanging in one of the rooms in South Street - to Duke of Bedford, bust of Perseus at Ampthill Park - to daughter Mary 3 miniatures of her mother framed together hanging in testator’s room - to son Henry Edward Fox drawing of his mother, brother and himself in Spanish Dress and done at Valencia - to son Charles Richard Fox picture of his mother over the chimney piece with such pictures etc. as he may like from testator’s dressing room or Yellow Drawing Room in which he dresses - to Robert Pirry a bust at Ampthill Park of a Roman Emperor when a child - to Mr Rogers, bust of Homer at Ampthill Park - to Henry Luttrell, copy of Martyns Virgil and Butlers Hudibras in Library at Ampthill Park - to sister drawing of mother by Lady Diana Beauclerk in dressing room at Ampthill Park - to Lord Brougham, portrait of Sir Samuel Romilly and to the following ladies, mourning rings: Honourable Mrs Fox, Lady Augusta Fox, Lady Mary Fox, Lady Lansdowne, Dowager Lady Warwick, Duchess of Bedford, Lady Grey, Mrs Tierney, Lady Cowper, Lady Tankerville, Mrs George Lamb and Mrs Ord - to Stephen Moore, esquire £500 - to late servant William Johnson £100 - to servant Samuel Swaffield £100 - to servant Gigi Amadei £100 - to servant William Long, wearing apparel and £50 - to Mrs Brown £50 - to Edgar £25 to buy mourning as Lady Holland will continue to remunerate their services and reward them should quit her - residue to wife executrix - all estates vested in testator by mortgage or in trust, to Benjamin Currey and Frederick Dawes Danvers Witnesses: William S Currey, William Currey, 6 Old Palace Yard, Westminster Copy attested 3 November 1840 by William Currey and George Noble
