    BEDFORDSHIRE CONSTABULARY Bedford Division Return of Cases for Trial at the Quarter Sessions, on Wednesday the 9th day of October 1918. Offenders’ Name: Joseph Baker alias John Parker and James Brown. No fixed abode. Labourer. Description of Offence: Burglariously breaking and entering the dwelling house of John Bartholomew, at Bromham during the night of 31st August 1918 and stealing therefrom 2 bags value 1/-piece of beef value 2/-, cake value 1/- 1lb margarine value ½, 1lb Lard value 1/8, 3/4lb butter value 1/9, 1 loaf break value 4½, 1 purse value 1/- total value 9/11½ and 5/3 in money. The property of Ann Bartholomew. Also, one purse value 1/- containing 2/2 in money the property of Fred Bartholomew. Constables required to attend in each case: P.S.
