  • Scope and Content
83 Russell Road 22/10/1911 Dear Henry, I received your letter with six stamps enclosed for which I am most thankful. You did not say in your last letter whether you received the two newspapers I sent you. I am sending you the “Express and the Bower Park Weekly News”. I hope you are well and keeping your courage up for Wednesday and I trust the Lord will so direct things that you will be discharged or receive only a very light sentence. I only wish you were at home at present as I feel convinced you would have been of great help to me as I know you are naturally of a kind and willing nature, and someday, I am certain that with Gods help you will become a useful member of Society, don’t repine but remember that “all things work together for good to them that fear God” and the first shall be last and the last shall be first. [Ruth] has not yet got a situation nor has Queenie, and the state of things with us must be seen to be understood. The people we have let the rooms to pay when they can and I think they are very well meaning. Their name is Walters. Now my dear son good bye God bless you and support you in all your trouble. Your affectionate Mother
