- Scope and ContentDear Mr Janes, I duly received your letter of the 2nd inst. My wife and I are sorry to learn that we will not have the pleasure of seeing you and Mrs Janes on your way to Italy. Under the circumstances I am going to arrange for the facilities to be available in Rome as from the 7th April. My Bank, the Swiss Bank Corporation, suggests to place the funds at your disposal at the Banca Commerciale Italiana in Rome. I trust this meets with your approval. Subject to fluctuations of the rates of exchange the sum available will amount to about 90'000 Lire. May I ask you to kindly drop me a line some days before you will be leaving, confirming - and thus also reminding of - your departure? We congratulate you on your election as Mayor of your town and wish you every success in your important office. With kind regards. Yours sincerely, M H Trachsler.
