- Scope and ContentDear Mr Trachsler, Thanks for your letter of the 13th January. We have now completed our arrangements for our visit to Italy. We are travelling on the Comet Air-Liner which is non-stop between London and Rome we shall arrive there on April 7th, and we very much regret that under the circumstances we cannot make a break in our journey to call at Lausanne. We have every intention of coming to Switzerland as soon as we can because there is not country in all the world like Switzerland. I am going to be Mayor of my own town this year, coming into office in May and thus I shall not be able to get a holiday in the summer, that is why we have chosen to go to Rome. I appreciate what you say about the rate of exchange and, of course, accept this. At the moment I cannot tell you which Hotel we shall be staying at in Rome but Cooks Travel Agency are arranging our affairs, but you could address me c/o Cooks at Rome, unless you have any other suggestion to make. We are expecting a whole years's hard work when we return home and thus we are looking forward to this holiday to set us up in good health. Thank you for your good wishes, we hope that you are both in good health. If you should be thinking of coming to England, at any time, kindly let us know. Yours sincerely, H C Janes.
