    made him keener to speak to Whitbie "as always before in love with the .......... and name of peac(e) and in good hope regayninge the measure of your old frendship". Upon reasonable terms and conditions he will give you "reason to say or think that he hath caried himself so calmely, circumspectly and respective in thes brables and that you will wonder any to be so stronge and staungely conceited as without any good ground or matter to invent evil and idle words to continewe this fire of ...... between you". reckons that repeating grievances in private, God will no doubt lead them to a "blessed and serviceable conclusion" Mr Whitbie ready to meet - has "not exhibited anything legally or at all openly against you".
