Note of Allegation. Archdeacon’s Court. Office suit against William Payne concerning procurations owed to the Bishop of Lincoln, 1618, 1621, 1622 respecting the parsonage of Podington. Payne alleges exemption by grant under the great seal (letters patent) but is willing to refer himself to Sir Henry Yelverton. Action to be stayed until the bishop’s pleasure known.
