    consideration: £610 -- messuage or farm in Clifton -- 48 acres arable -- Clee Close 2 acres -- 8 acres meadow all in Clifton, Southill and Stanford, heretofore Thomas Berryes, now in the occupation of said Isaac Bedford -- premises as in V167, purchased of Richard Halliley, gentleman recites: life estate of Anne, now wife of Isaac Bedford in lands etc. as in V166, recites therein recited indenture of 24 October 1651 and also: Mortgage by Demise for Years. 26 October 1667 (i) Isaac Bedford of Clifton, clerk, Samuel Bedford of Henlow and wife Frances (ii) John Skynner of Hitchin, Hertfordshire gentleman since deceased -- 33 acres 3 roods arable in Clifton (part of aforesaid premises) for 500 years repayment £100 and interest at date now past. Witnesses: Thomas Wyant, Michael Samme, John Samme, James Taylor. 3 seal tags endorsed: Livery of Seisin. note that “In Beckets Release to Bedford which is herein enclosed is a Particular Terrar of all the Land etc. sold by Becket to Bedford.” [there is no enclosure].
