    consideration: £2,100 -- farmhouse with appurtenances in Clifton -- 48 acres arable belonging -- close of pasture, Clee Close, 2 acres -- 8 acres meadow belonging to said messuage -- 3 roods arable -- 33 acres 3 roods arable and 13 poles (over and above 2 poles every third year) of meadow and pasture ground. all which said premises are in Clifton, Southill and Stanford purchased by James Taylor (great-grandfather of Nathaniel Taylor the late husband deceased of her the said Lucy Taylor) [see V171] sometime in the occupation of Abraham Whitson, after Thomas Page, now of William Beaumont -- cottage and appurtenances sometime in the occupation of William Woodward -- 1 rood arable at East end of said cottage, in the occupation of William Woodward purchased by James Taylor from Nathaniel Taylor [see V172] -- all other messuages and lands of said William Beaumont and formerly of Nathaniel Taylor deceased in Clifton, Southill and Stanford (except 2 acres arable in Hoe Field in Clifton, sometime in the occupation of William Pateman, after of John Conquest, now of = = =, which came to said Nathaniel Taylor deceased on the death of Elizabeth Taylor widow his late aunt) all the above premises were settled by Indenture [see V186] -- farmhouse with appurtenances in Clifton in the occupation of James Matthews, since of Thomas Lyles, then William Lyles, now of Samuel Thorowgood and James Stevens. -- messuage in Clifton with pightle of pasture adjoining 1 acre formerly in the occupation of William Lovell, then Thomas Page, now Sarah Lockey :south street :north ground formerly of Thomas Palmer :west ground formerly of Mr. Lee :southeast common street there -- 12 acres meadow in Clifton and Henlow, late in the occupation of William Lyles and now of William Beaumont (who purchased it from William Brown and John Bennell) all which premises last mentioned were settled by V245; recites V246 all which premises contained in V245 were together with premises next mentioned purchased by said William Beaumont from said William Brown and John Bennell [see V243] -- pightle of pasture with appurtenances in Clifton belonging to said farmhouse above mentioned to be formerly in the occupation of James Matthews 4 acres -- 23 acres 3 roods arable in Clifton and Henlow, which together with above mentioned messuage formerly in the occupation of James Matthews, and 6 acres meadow ground, part of the above 12 acres, are described in V227 (recited; Hannahbella Marshall is since deceased.) -- cottage with appurtenances in the middle of Clifton with adjoining pightle of pasture ½ acre formerly in the occupation of the occupation of Thomas Lovelage, now of Thomas Cook, (abbutals as in V231 except :west ground formerly of John Butterfield.) -- 18 acres 3 roods arable in Clifton, which are also together with messuage and pightle above mentioned to be formerly in the occupation of William Lovell and the remainder of the said 12 acre meadow, described in V231 all which premises described in V227 and V231, contain together 58 acres -- all other lands etc. of William Beaumont in Clifton and Henlow which were sometime the inheritance of Richard and Briggins How, purchased by William Beaumont by V243. -- several parcels arable and meadow of said William Beaumont heretofore by estimation supposed to contain 66 acres 20 perches but by measurement found to contain 64 acres 1 rood in Clifton, late in the occupation of John Page and now of William Beaumont, described in schedule to V223 (recited; Martha Ringstead née Temple is since deceased) James Hesse to hold the above premises subject to the estate for life of Lucy Taylor in part of the premises.
