- Scope and ContentTake Notice that I, Hutchinson William Lathom of Luton, Solicitor & agent for Harry Sharp(e) of 70 Biscot Road Luton, do intend at the next general Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden in the said County of Bedford to Appeal against a certain order made against him buy the Court of Summary Jurisdiction sitting at Luton aforesaid whereby he was on 5th April 1919 adjudged to be the putative father of a bastard child of which you said Beatrice Plummer is the mother, & that the cause & matter of the appeal are that; 1) The said Harry Sharpe is not the father of the said child 2) That the evidence given on behalf of the complainant before the Court was unreliable & a contradictory nature that no order should have been made.
