    A Complaint made by Beatrice Plummer, a single woman, residing at 10 Blythe Place Luton, that on 9th November 1918 she was delivered of a Bastard Child of which she alleged that Harry Sharp(e) of 70 Biscot Road Luton, was the father. On hearing the complaint & the evidence of the Complianant & other evidence satisfactorily corroborating in a material particlar her evidence, & also the evidence tendered by the Defendant & being Satified of the truth of the said complaint, it is adjudged that the defendant is the putative father of the said child. It is ordered that the Defendant do pay 6 shillings & 6 pence per week for the maintenance & education of the child henceforth until the child shall attain the age of 14 years, or if it shall die under that age, until its death. Also Ordered that the defendant do pay the sum of £1, 9 shillings & 6 pence for the expences incidental t the birth of the said child & for costs incurred in obtaining this order Further Ordered that the sums be paid by the defendant to William Austin, 7 George Street West, Luton, the Collecting Officer appointed by the Justices of the Borough under the provisions of section 1(1) of the Affiliation Orders Act 1914. signed Edwin Oakley & Harry Arnold
