    Beatrice Plummer states, that she gave birth to a girl & Harry Sharp(e) the defendant is the father.They worked at the same place She met with him in Peoples Park to ask him to help with maintenance for the child, he denied that the child was his, she asked if his mother knew, he said no. She went to see his mother & tell her, Harry still refused to help. Beatrice met him with in the presents of his sister, where he did admit that they had been out together, he did not on that occassion deny that he had had connections. It was 27th April my sister & I saw him. Cross examined; It was not on 27 (April) May- My brother had an interview with him. Didn't know I was in the family way,. Went for 2 walks with him, one about 18th February. Didn't ask me out again, He wrote her notes. He did have connections with me. He denide it at first. Swore it was 27th April. I wrote it on a piece of paper. It wasa Monday. Taking medicine. I may have made a mistake, I think now it must have been 7th May. Mrs Baker, my sister, said have you been out with my sister, he said , yes. she asked have you had connections with her, he said yes, said he wasn't going to do anything, never promised to do anything. In March this year I wrote to his mother, the letter produced. ftom June last up to March, I could not see him as I was in a home in Putney. child was born, The home asked me about the father, I told him I would summons him. When I came home I took out a summons. Ethel Mary Barker sister of complaint states; she had an interview with Sharp(e) in March or beginning of April, I asked him if he has been going out with my sister, he said , yes about February in Peoples Park, I said did you use her coat, he said yes, but he does not believe he is the father. Cross Ex , I spoke to him twice. I cannot be certain of the dates or day, saw him the second time with my sister. asked him if he had been out with her, he said , yes, asked if he had had connection & he said no. My sister never told me it was a soldier. The defendant had been a soldier. Percy Plummer, brother to complaint. Asked the same questions & received same answers from his interview with Sharp(e) Defendant; She asked me to go out, I went twice. I never had connections with her. never asked me again,Might have written her notes. May 27th she made a communcation with me about her condition, Interview - Mrs Baker asked me & I said no, but admitted later, She & Complaint came later & said you know all about this , You have been out with me. I said I went up Peoples Park with her but as to having connectons with her I have not. I did not use the works Mrs Baker alleges. Order made out for 6/6d a week until child is 14 years, Costs £1.9.6 I only just touched her & I don't beleive it could have been me. I told Mrs Baker that I went out with her sister & that she took off her coat & layid down on it, I was going to have connections with her but I came in my hand not touching her in any way.
