    On 7th October 1914 Henry Mardle at Bedford Quarter Session pleaded Guilty that on 26th September 1914 he did steal take & carry away the sum of 4 pounds 15 shillings in money & a glass, the goods & chattels of Mildred Mary Newman. He was bound over in his own recognizance in the sum of £10 to be of good behaviour & to appear for conviction & sentance when called upon at any time during a period of 12 months & during such period to be under the supervision of the probation officer for the Borough of Luton & to abstaio from all intoxicating liquor. dated 8th May 1915 signed W.W.
