    Arthur Lewis charged on 9th November 1910 that he did on 31st October 1910 break & enter the dwelling house of Annie Flecknell & feloniously steal a clock the Goods & Chattels of Mary Medhurst. The said charge being read to the said Arthur Lewis & the Witnesses for the Prosecution being severally examined in his presence was asked if he wished to say anything in answer to the charge; He says; I am quite innocent of stealing the clock. I bought it, all I know is the man went away next day and I had off him them things as lay there. I mean them two coats. He told me he was going to Leighton. Taken before me at the Court House Luton, Robert Townsend, Magistrates Court Luton
