- Scope and ContentIn the Court of Criminal Appeal R –v – William John Kendrick 30th January 1911 Upon reading, the notice of Appeal against sentence and upon hearing evidence and Mr. A. R. Churchill Counsel assigned to the Appellant and Mr. Ryland [Adkins] Counsel for the Director of Public Prosecutions. This Court doth quash the sentence passed at the trial and doth pass a sentence of 18 months imprisonment with hard labour in substitution therefor and doth order that the time the Appellant has been specially treated in custody as an Appellant do count as part of such substituted sentence.
