    He bought from John Arnald 'a bushel & half and rather more than a pottle' of barley. He put this in the bottom of a bag and made up with other barley which he had, tying the sack at the mouth. This was then taken to Bromham Mill for grinding. John Felts, labourer to John White compared s sample which his master brought back from Bromham and swears it is the same. John Elmore who is servant to 'Biggs' and drives his cart was given the sack to take to Bromham Mill by James Careless's wife. James Braybrook, servant to John White, swears that the samples are the same 'it was roughly dressed - there were a few tares in it'. See QSR1818/ 206, 293, 296, 297, 301, 534.
