    £1100 is still owing under mortgage of 24 Nov 1851. i) requires repayment so debt will be taken over by vi). Now in consideration of £1100 paid to i) by vi), i) transfers to vi) said £1100 remaining due to him on security of mortgage of 24 Nov 1851. Also in consideration of a further £900 paid by vi) to ii), i), with consent of ii), iv) and v), conveys to vi): - freehold property (as in 1st schedule) excluding that sold to Miss Polhill); - land in 2nd schedule, formerly copyhold, but now treated as freehold as steward of the Manor cannot find any record of them on the court rolls; - copyhold lands as in 3rd schedule, which ii) will surrender at next manor court to use of vi) by way of mortgage; - all lands in 4th schedule also to be surrendered, to intent that vi) may be admitted tenant by way of mortgage. All above property is shown on plan on last sheet of deed. Interest 4%. 1st schedule: - messuage erected by William Bennett Usher, in occupation of - Barnes; - 3 cottages in occupation of John Noy, iii), and John Norris; - 2 corn barns and other out buildings forming the home-stead occupied by John King; above 3 comprise site of a messuage or farmhouse, pightle adjoining etc [approximately opposite the Chapel]; - 4 acres 1 rood 38 poles [approximately on minor road, to north] in Home Field; - 4 cottages in occupation of John Hill, Arthur Reid, Thomas Lightfoot and Jane Manning (1 acre) [at junction of road to Tempsford and A1, with a dead-end road going north, and next to the old pound]; - meadow land called Finham, with osier land belonging (4 acres 19 poles) [alongside road to Tempsford and A1, on south side, and adjacent to above] 2nd schedule - 1 acre 3 roods 29 poles land on Great Barford road [just before road leading to old station]. 3rd schedule - 17 acres 16 poles, being copyhold part of Home Field [adjoining piece above and alongside footpath to Great Barford]; - 1 acre 1 rood, which cannot be traced. 4th schedule - 1 acre 3 roods 39 poles being copyhold of field on Great Barford road [adjoining above field on Great Barford road]. Also endorsed with Further Charge: a) John Usher; b) John Charles McGrath., referring to agreement for varying the provisions for redemption [see LS745] Sarah Usher died on 30 Oct 1866. It has been agreed between a) and Susan Anthony that copyhold and freehold property should become the absolute property of John Usher and by deed of 16 June were conveyed to William Smail to use of b) [see LS747]. Now a) wishes to borrow a further £700 from b). In consideration of said £700 a) conveys to b) - property as in main deed (above). Interest 4% per annum. Signature of a). Receipt.
