- Scope and ContentOf £2000 mortgage money [LS744] £700 was cash, £1300 residue as produced by sale of £1445 12s 10d 3% Consols. It was part of agreement for said loan that when pricipal was paid off, such payment should be effected by purchase of similar amount of Consols, and £700 in cash, and interest upon whole £2000. It is now agreed that said provisions should be varied, ie i) shall on 30 June next purchase and place to name of v), £1445 12s 10d 3% Consols and shall also on same day pay off said £700. v) shall surrender or assure said property in such manner as i) shall direct. If default then power of sale shall arise. iii) and iv) agree to effect such purchase. Signatures of all. Endorsed witnesses Thomas W Turnley, solicitor, Bedford, William Walker Robinson, his clerk.
