    Examined copy of Surrender and Admission. Surrender by Thomas Gale of Biggleswade, yeoman, customary tenant etc., in consideration of £5 10s. paid to him by James Hart (see below) of: a)piece or parcel of ground in Biggleswade near Crab Lane, containing 40’ in length, 32’ in breadth at the S. end, 20’ 6” at the N end, bounded on the E. by a fence of Thomas Gale, and the W. by a fence of Benjamin Wood, on the S. by Rudds Bank, and on the N. by a Public House called the Anchor; which piece or parcel is part of a piece of land or ground to which Thomas Gale was admitted tenant on the surrender of Edward Rudd on 11/12 April 1780 (see Z 590/1). Together with right of footway leading thereto and all other appurtenances. ... to the use and behoof of James Hart of Biggleswade, blacksmith, his heirs etc. Admission of James Hart to the same. Habendum to James Hart, his heirs etc. (see Z 590/1) at a yearly rent of 1d. Fine: 1/3 of a penny. Fealty: respited. Pencilled annotation on dorse: ‘6-7 Anchor Yard, Sun Street’.
