    Examined copy Surrender & Admission Surrender by Edward Rudd of Biggleswade, gent., customary tenant, in full and open court of: a) a piece of arable land in the Town Field of Biggleswade containing 1r. 15p., part of a piece of arable land called the Cow Fair Land, land of William Edwards lying on the N., Crab La. on the E., and lands of Edward Rudd on the S. and W.; which piece of arable land is now in the tenure or occupation of Edward Rudd, and to which he was admitted tenant to him and his heirs (amongst others) at a court held on 23/24 April 1776 and continued by adjournment on 1 May, on the Surrender of Culling Smith, esq. and James Brooke. ... to the use and behoof of Thomas Gale of Biggleswade, victualler, his heirs and assigns for ever according to the custom of the manor. Admission of Thomas Gale to the same. Habendum: to Thomas Gale, his heirs and assigns for ever of the Lord of the Manor at the will of the lord, according to the custom of the manor, by copy of court roll, fealty, suit of court, and annual rent by apportionment in the whole of 3d and other duties, customs and services therefore due and of right accustomed. Fine paid for his entry in the premises: 1d. Fealty: respited. Examined with the Court Roll by Isaac Hindley, steward, 9 June 1819.
