- TitleLetter from Reverend Charles Edward Searle to George Thomas Askew. Sent from Odell Rectory
- Date free text3 August 1858
- Production dateFrom: 1858 To: 1858
- Scope and ContentThanks for letter about Easter and newspapers received. Happy to hear that George is prospering. Believes that Canada is a fine country and has told George's parents that moving to Canada would be a wise choice but would be especially good for Kitty 'She would be a farmer's wife, instead of a lace-girl or a hard drudge of a servant.' Notes that if Kitty decides to go to Canada then he will teach her to write in the winter.
