    Photocopies of letters predominately from the Reverend Charles Edward Searle to George Thomas Askew (sometimes noted a Thomas George Askew), a labourer from the village of Odell whom Reverend Searle helped emigrate to America when he was the incumbent of Odell. George later moves to Canada. Some letters are addressed to Mrs Askew [Isabel Julia Askew nee Curtis] George's wife. One letter is from a business associate of George's, Francis Asterne, and one from Isabel Askew's brother W R Curtis. Several of the letters are unfinished and some have a handwritten or typed summary attached.
