Letter to The Chief Constable, Borough Police, Luton.
Sir, In reply to your letter of the 10th instant regarding the production of Harry (Henry) Mardle, a prisoner in H.M. Prison, St Albans, at Luton Petty Sessions to be dealt with under the Probation of Offenders Act 1907, I am directedby the secretary of State to say that he will issue an Order under section 11 of the Prison Act 189, for Mardle's production at the Quarter Sessions on 30th June, - a course which is frequently followed in such cases. There appears to be no necessity for his appearance at Petty Sessions before he is dealt with by Quarter Sessions.
