- Scope and ContentBorough of Banbury in the County of Oxford. These are to certify that at the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden at Banbury in and for the Borough of Banbury in the County of Oxford on the second day of February one thousand nine hundred and ten before Henry Staveley Staveley-Hill Esq. recorder of the said Borough John Lee was in due found of Law tried and convicted on his own confession of having on the 8th day of December 1909 at the Borough of Banbury unlawfully and feloniously stolen taken and carried away one overcoat of the value of two guineas the property of Messrs []and Law against the Peace of our Lord the King his Crown and Dignity and the said John Lee was there upon ordered to be imprisoned in His Majesty’s Prison at Oxford and there kept to hard labour for the space of six calendar months and which sound conviction is still in full force strength and effect and not in the least reversed annulled or made void. Given under my hand this 7th day of December 1910. Clerk of the Peace for the Borough of Banbury aforesaid
