Examinations & depositions - Examination of Sarah, wife of Thos. Morecraft, Leighton Buzzard, victualler; John Brandom and Thomas Jeeves both of Leighton Buzzard began quarreling in her husband's house, the Black Horse; Ben. Brandom and Thos. Samuel, Leighton Buzzard, labrs. joined in the quarrel. As 'the parties seemed all about to commence fighting' she sent for the constable and as soon as he arrived she 'ran into the bar and shut herself in and saw no more of what happened'.
