Auctioneer Robinson & Hall by instruction of Mrs E. L. Wade. 3166 acres comprising 8 farms & cottages, 2 small holdings, White Horse Public House & land, mansion house affording 'capital partridge & mixed shooting'.
Farms listed: Brook End Farm, Catworth; Lodge Farm, Catworth; Tilbrook Grange Farm; Manor Farm, Tilbrook; Tilbrook Mill & New Buildings Farm; Manor Farm, Lower Dean; Mill & Elm Tree Farms, Dean; Hillstone Farm, Hargrave; Top Farm, Hargrave. Includes map. Press cutting attached reports that The White Horse sold for £9,000 to Messrs Praed & Co; 'several of the farms at Catworth, Tilbrook and Lower Dean were sold to the well know sportsman Major Farley of Kimbolton. It is understood that this property, for which many thousands of pounds were paid, was bought chiefly for the shooting.' Cutting also reports that Dean Grange Mansion House was bought by Mr F P Tinsley.
Front cover also annotated in pencil that bulk of the estate was bought by Major Farley. Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 9 were bought by private treaty prior to the auction.
