- Scope and ContentReciting will of William Skilleter by which ii) and Joseph Usher become entitled to his estate as tenants in common; reciting deaths of Joseph Usher and wife Mary, leaving as heir, their son, i). Now in consideration of £350 paid to i) by iii) and to secure payment of interest of 4½% per annum, ii) at direction of i) grants to iii): - moiety of property as in succession duty account [LS779], excluding bakehouse at Blunham, and land at Chalton (some leasehold) and 3 acres near the Park, with note in margin as to how disposed of. - garden land (part of New Field) (14 acres 3 roods 18 poles) in Caldecote in Northill, in occupation of James Odell, all originally described as in 1st schedule. Also i) at request of ii) assigns to iii): moiety of leasehold property (as before described) covenant to surrender copyhold property ie: - moiety of cottage at Blunham, now divided into 2 (1 acre) - 35 poles in Down Field, Sandy, north private road, east heirs of Thomas Dennis, deceased, south Mary Eyre, west heirs of Thomas Dennis - 3 acres 4 poles in South Field in Blunham in occupation of Charles Carter Jeeves, north Rev Martin Mayle, William Farr and John Ruff, east public road leading to Mogerhanger, south Baroness Lucas, west Wiliam Farr of Paxton. To all which premises John Usher was admitted tenant on 1 Nov 1869. With 1st schedule describing the property in very different terms.
