Reciting will of Philip Chapman dated 18 September 1879 by which he appointed i) and James Low as his trustees and executors, and residue of property devised to i) and ii) equally as tenants in common. Philip Chapman died on 1 Jan 1882. Will proved (PPR) on 8 February 1882. James Low died on 26 April 1882. i) and James Low apportioned to ii) the above mortgage debt of £350 plus interest as part of her share of residuary estate of said Philip. Other property apportioned to i). Now i) as personal representative of Philip Chapman assigns to ii): - said principal sum £350 now owing on mortgage of 9 Sept 1881 - moiety of property as in mortgage (freehold, leasehold and copyhold).
