Abstracting:
Will of James Hart, 24 Oct 1836 (part recited in Z 590/20), then of Old Warden, blacksmith, in which he devised to his wife Kitty for life (if she should so long continue his widow) :
(a) his freehold estate in ‘Stratford, Bedfordshire.’
(b) 5 copyhold tenements situate in Langford Street. in Biggleswade.
(c) 3 copyhold tenements situate in part of Biggleswade called the Anchor Yard, formerly the estate of Thomas Gale.
...and from and immediately after the decease or second marriage of Kitty (whichever should first happen) he devised the same (his freehold estate) to his brothers-in-law Thomas Hodges and Robert Hodges, gardeners, upon trust for sale etc., (see Z 590/20), the purchase monies to be applied in manner mentioned in his will in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury on 3 Dec 1836 (marginal note alongside entry as above).
Death of Kitty Hart, 26 Nov 1856, and her burial at Old Warden, 4 Dec 1856.
