    Recites:- William Gery of Bushmead as above did "by woorde", in the presence of Simon & John Grey & Robert Gatwell, assign to his son & heir apparent, Richard: -- the house called Bushmead, known as the late dissolved priory of Bushmead, in the parish of Eaton [Socon], with buildings and lands thereto belonging; demised to him, William Gery the son, for 300 years by his father 20 June 1585. Recites also:- Simon Grey assigned to William Gery the son his rights in the above for 10 years under indenture of 21 March 1587; 10 December 1587; witnesses: William Heynes, William Owldham, John Nucombe, Thomas Lidford. Seals on tags: 4 (1 armorial - Gery; that used by John Grey bears the initials RG).
