Fairly quiet, with exception of Trench Mortar activity 8 Apr 1916 - Roclincourt and Arras Ditto. Relieved in firing line by 1/Cheshire Rgt. & withdrew to Support Trenches. 9-11 Apr 1916 H.Q. & 2 coys in ROCLINCOURT, 2 coys in ARRAS in Bde. reserve. (Bde. Reserve 2 coys 1/NORFOLK R. & 2 coys 1/BEDF. R.) under command of CAPT. TOLLEMACHE, 1/Bedf. 12 Apr 1916 - Agnez-les-Duisans Relieved by E.Surrey (11 p.m.) and withdrew to Billets in AGNEZ-les-DUISANS. Same billets as before 13-19 Apr 1916 In billets. AGNEZ-les-DUISANS. Training work much hampered by wet weather. Parties of officers reconnoitred J.2. sub-sector daily. 20 Apr 1916 - Trenches Marched to Trenches & took over J.2. sub-sector from 14/R.Warwickshire Rgt. Relief complete 12 m.n. Very wet & trenches sloshy. 21 Apr 1916 Trenches. Very wet. 22-23 Apr 1916 As above. Quiet tour. 24-27 Apr 1916 - Support Trenches In Support trenches, relieved by 1st Cheshire. 28-30 Apr 1916 - Trenches Trenches 90-101 as before. Weather hot. Quiet time. New Zealand Engineers reported enemy mines under trenches 94.95. affected trenches evacuated, new dispositions made on 28th.
