Battalion resting for 24 hours. 18 Dec 1918 - Haine-St-Pierre Battalion resumed march to HAINE ST PIERRE & billeted. 19 Dec 1918 - Manage Battalion marched to MANAGE & billeted. 20 Dec 1918 - Nivelles Battalion marched to NIVELLES & billeted. Regimental Colours joined Bn. from England. 21 Dec 1918 - Sombreffe Battalion marched to SOMBREFFE 22 Dec 1918 - Gembloux Battalion marched to GEMBLOUX & billeted (Final Destination) Billets very good. 23-25 Dec 1918 Billetted as above. Christmas Day Church Services for all denominations. 26 Dec 1918 Boxing Day Holiday 27-31 Dec 1918 Billetted as above School & Training carried on OPERATION ORDER 177 1st. Battalion The Bedfordshire Regiment. Dec. 12th. 1918 1. MOVE. The 15th. Infantry Brigade will commence march to GEMBLOUX to-morrow the 13th. inst. as per Brigade March table attached [not attached] 2. TIME. The Battalion will parade in the Rue JUHEL ready to move off at 08.55 hours. Order of March - Headquarters, Drums, "A", "B", "C" and "D" Coy's. and Transport. Interval between Companies - 10 yards. Interval between Battalions - 50 yards. 3. HALTS. No halts except the 10 minutes half before each clock hour will be permitted. The Commanding Officer will sound one long whistle on minute before each clock hour, on which Coy. Commanders will order men to dress and fall in. At the clock hour, Commanding Officer will sound two whistles, whereupon Coy. Commanders will give order "Quick March." 4. DRESS. Full Marching order. Leather Jerkins rolled on top of pack, Box Respirators on top of pack. Mess Tins inside pack. Steel Helmets in straps on back of packs. 5. BILLETING PARTY. The following Billeting party will report to Orderly Room to-morrow at 07.00 hours. 2/Lieut. E.W.P.Robinson. 4 C.Q.M.Sgts. 1 N.C.O. for Headquarters. 1 N.C.O. for Tpt. and Q.M. Stores. 6. OFFICERS KITS Orderly Room Boxes etc., will be ready for collection by 07.30 hours. Mess Boxes at 08.00 hours. BLANKETS will be rolled in bundles of 10, labelled and taken to Q.M. Stores by 07.30 hours. 7. REVEILLE will be at 06.30 hours. Breakfasts at 07.00 hours. 8. SYNCHRONISATION. The Signalling Sergt. will ensure that all Officers received the correct time at 07.00 hours to-morrow.
