C.O. in command of train. 2nd Train A & C Coys. Major Chirnside M.C. in command. Transport & Q.M. employ equally divided between the two trains. 12-15 Dec 1917 Battn. on trains en route for ITALY. 16 Dec 1917 - San Giorgio de Brenta and San Giorgio delle Pertiche. B & D Coys detrained at Fontaineva & marched to St.Giorgio de Brenta & rested for a few hours resuming march to St.Giorgio delle Pertiche & billeted there. A & C. Coys detrained at Ospitale and billeted at St.Girogio de Brenta for the night. 17 Dec 1917 - San Giorgio delle Pertiche A & C Coys marched to join B. & D Coys and billeted at St.Giorgio delle Pertiche. 18 Dec 1917 Battn. Route march. Played 15th Field Am. at Football - Bn. lost. 19 Dec 1917 Battn. commenced Training under Coy. arrangements. B & D Coys marched to Campo San Pietro to Cinema and were allowed some time in the town. Battn. found 100 men for unloading ammunition. 20 Dec 1917 As above. A & C Coys. taken to Campo San Pietro. 2/Lt.S.D.Harrower joined Battn. 21 Dec 1917 Battn. Route March. 22-23 Dec 1917 Battn. continued training. 24 Dec 1917 10 Officers taken to reconnoitre reserve line near RUBIO. 25 Dec 1917 Christmas day. Church services for all denominations in morning followed by Cross Country Relay race and distribution of gifts from Bedford Comforts Fund.
