Title
Transcription of letters addressed to ‘Mrs Elizth Cartwright at Mr Thomas Cartwrights Mill Brook near Ampthill Bedfordshire England’ from her husband Charles in New South Wales, Australia. Charles was transported in 1837 for highway robbery however in the letters he claims ‘it is known fact that I am suffering wrongfully.’ The letters contain some details of Australia and the convict system as well as family matters.
