- TitleLetter from J Warth to J Ransom. 46 loads of JR's wheat came in on Friday morning at the present time we have a great flood. Has a weight on his mind not having explained about a narrow strip of land lying from the further gate of mine (called the Flags) by the side of the church walk and the river. In flood times, the water runs out of the river into a deep ditch or drain, close to the walk side. Has been trying to purchase about 1r of land from Sir Wm Long but he named a price of 100 so JW left things 'as I had the remedy to repair the breach when made, in my own hands'
