Bedfordshire Times Negatives 'M' series

A series of large-scale glass plate negatives. The series is not original having been weeded and rearranged at various times. Several parts of the collection appear to have come to the Bedfordshire Press from other sources. Subjects include lace, antique furniture, churches and topographical views. Many of the plates are copies of old photographs including nineteenth century group portraits and copies of old prints. Dating of the plates is difficult but they appear to have been produced from the 1920s to the late 1950s.

For ease of retrieval and use the negatives have been loosely grouped by plate size and subject.
