- Scope and ContentINDICTIMENT The King -v- Sydney Buckingham and William Andrews Court of Trial: Bedfordshire Quarter Sessions held at Bedford Presentment of the Grand Jury: Sydney Buckingham and William Andrews are charged with the following Offence: - First Count. Statement of Offence: - Housebreaking and Larceny, contrary to Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act, 1916 Particulars of Offence: - Sydney Buckingham and William Andrews on the twenty second day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty-Two in the County of Bedford, broke and entered the dwelling house of Annie Sherlock and stole seven pictures and a mirror together of the value of one pound the property of the said Annie Sherlock in the said dwellinghouse. Second Count. Statement of Offence: - Receiving stolen goods, contrary to Section 33(1) of the Larceny Act, 1916. Particulars of Offence: - Sydney Bukingham and William Andrews on the twenty second day of June in the year aforesaid in the County of Bedford did receive seven pictures and a mirror the property of Annie Sherlock knowing the same to have been stolen. Date of Trial: - 11th October 1922 Plea: - Both Guilty Judgement: - Buckingham - 3 months imprisonment on each Indictment (concurrent).
