Jas.Brooke to John Everitt of Hitchin (co.Herts.), gent. -- A cottage standing on a piece of ground late described as an orchard, whereon stood a messuage rebuilt by Edw.Gurney), decd.,but pulled down by said J.B.; & 2 pightles adjg., cont. 2 a., a large close of the Earl of Strafford in occ. of Matt.Rolfe, E., Stocking Field W., & land of John Everitt in occ. of fra.white, N.W.; the said building a buts on the road from Harlington to Woburn on the N.end; all which premises were late in occ. of Mary Gurney & Wm.Hall, then of Eliz.Mays & Widow Cross, & now of J.B. & WIFE Jemima, & were formerly of Nich.Martin who devised them to Geo.Duncombe.
