- TitleRecognizance for Leonad Williams appeal against a certain convictionof the Court of Summary Jurisdiction sitting at Luton Magistrates Court bearing the date 29th March 1919 , whereby he was convicted that he on 16th March 1919 & other earlier dates, being the occupier of a shop at 27 Hirtchin Road Luton did knowingly & wilfully permit the same to be used for the purpose of unlawful gaming, & unlawful betting with persons. And that he shall abide by & duly perform the order of the court to be made upon the trial of such appeal & pay costs as may be awarded by the said court, then the recognizance shall be void, but otherwise shall remain in full force.

Taken & acknowledged before C H Osbourne (iii) (iv) dated 2nd April 1919 Joseph Williams of 20 Islington Green, London, came before me , one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for Luton & acknowledged to owe to our Sovereign Lord the King the sum of £10 to be made & levied of his Goods & Chattels, Lands & Tenements if Leonard Willaims fails in the condition indorsed.
