This Deponent John Jordan, of Luton upon his oath saith as follows: I am an assistant to Messrs Harman and Shoesmith Pawnbrokers Luton. On Wednesday the 6th July 1911, Prisoner came to Mr Harman’s Shop and produced the Gold Albert Chain I non-produce. He asked me to let him have thirty Shillings on it. I asked him if it was his own and he said yes. He gave me his address as the Griffin Hotel Chapel Street Luton. I advanced him thirty shillings. Signed John Jordan
