- Scope and ContentThe Jurors for our Lord the King upon their Oath present that Thomas Marjoram and Charles Bromwich on the 13thSeptember in the ear of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven were servants to the Vauxhall Motors Limited and that the said Thomas Marjoram and Charles Bromwich whilst they were such servants as aforesaid to wit on the day and year aforesaid one magneto of and belonging to the said Vauxhall Motors Limited their Masters feloniously did steal take and carry away against the form of the Statute in such case made and provided. 2nd Count And the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do further present that the said Thomas Marjoram and Charles Bromwich afterwards and within six calendar moths from the time of the committing of the said offence in the first Count of this indictment mentioned to wit on the twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand and nine hundred and eleven were Servants to the Vauxhall Motors Limited and that the said Thomas Marjoram and Charles Bromwich whilst they were such Servants as aforesaid to wit on the said and year last aforesaid one magneto of and belonging to the said Vauxhall Motors Limited their Masters feloniously did steal take and carry away against the form on the Statute in such case made and provided and against the peace of our Lord the King his Crown and Dignity. 3rd Count And the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do further present that the said Thomas Marjoram and Charles Bromwich and one Lewis Alexander Dryden on the twelfth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eleven feloniously did receive and have one magneto of the goods and chattels of the Vauxhall Motors Limited before then feloniously stolen taken and carried away they the said Thomas Marjoram, Charles Bromwich and Lewis Alexander Dryden then well knowing the said goods and chattels to have been feloniously stolen taken and carried away against the form of the Statute in such case made and provided. Marjoram: Guilty Bromwich: Guilty Plea: Dryden – Not Guilty Verdict: Not Guilty Sentence: Marjoram & Bromwich – each bound over in the sum of £10 with one made and provided surety of £10 to be of good behaviour for 12 months, to come up for judgment if called upon.
