I, Harcourt Everard Clare, Clerk of the Peace for the county of Palatine of Lancaster, and Clerk of the Courts of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, holden in and for the said County, and having the Custody of the Records of the Courts of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace holden in the for the said County, do hereby certify that at the General Quarter Sessions of the Peace, holden by adjournment at Manchester in and for the said county, on the 26th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight George Moss was duly convicted an indictment then and there depending of having on the Seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eight at Eccles in the said Count, feloniously stolen One bicycle of the property of Arthur Harrison and of having been before convicted of felony, and that the said George Moss was by the said last mentioned Court adjudged and ordered for the said offence to be imprisoned and kept to hard labour for the space of One Calendar Month which said conviction still remains in full force and not reversed or made void to the best of my information and belief.
