On the 4th January 1854, there had been an indenture of release made between Samuel and Frances Axam, Edward Handscombe and William Robinson Roberts, during which William Roberts had the premises conveyed to him. Premises occupied by: Thomas Stanbridge, William Draper, Joseph Low and Jonathan Barker. Land previously allotted to deceased Thomas Axam. Dated: 5th January 1854
