January 7th 1904 The Clerk of the Peace for Bedfordshire Dear Sir, Owning to continue “sickness” I feel myself “incapable of keeping the Licensed House” in the sense indicated in clause 2/8 of the Lunacy Act 1890 and I now pray the Justices to “transfer my share of the licence” of this house “with all the privileges and obligations annexed share to” as at February 15th [prose***] “for the term then unexpired” to Miss May Bellers who will come in to residence on that day.
