Letter from Janson, Cobb, Pearson & Co, London. “You may perhaps have noticed in the list of Coronation honours published on Thursday last that Mr Mitford has been raised to the peerage. The conveyance has already been engrossed and executed by Mr Mitford & as we do not, at present, know the title he will assume & to avoid delay & reengrossment we suggest that the conveyance should be dated the 24th June & if you agree we will have it so dated and stamped before sending it to you to obtain the execution of the vendors.”
