  • Scope and Content
“You will by today’s post hear from Mr Winter and Slade, so will know why I have not signed the enclosed paper. Mr Winter tells me he has paid away every penny in the bank and expects every day to hear from Mr Getting for the rent £88. Can you try to get some from Lancefield? Mr Slade says he has not paid anything yet. When Willie was in Berkshire some time ago, he was told that his uncle John was married and had a child, but we have not heard of it from him, nor from Cardiff; and I have not had any rent from the joint Morton property. Clayton paid his last November so it is now due again.”
