Thinks she has answered questions about Carr “Willie says he is a rich man but will not pay anyone without giving a great deal of trouble. I enclose sign notes for free stores but the bonded papers are always kept at the Custom House. Captain Down (gave the order) Charles Knight (received the order) our shipping clerk May 18th/68. Delivered on board at the Tredegar Wharf May 19th/68 by Wm Pinchin (our servant). Lizzie has been very kindly writing to Mrs Holmes (where Mrs John Stone’s children have been educated) and she has very kindly lowered her terms so that I hope Mary will go there next month.” [2 Notes enclosed]
