    From 1974 Robert James Mott lived and raised family in Biggleswade. He previously worked at Glaxo before working for British Rail as a booking office clerk. By the time Robert Mott settled in Biggleswade with his wife he was working as an area manager in Hitchin. Later still, he commuted daily to Paddington where he promoted Brit Rail passes in the international market. At the point of his early retirement in 1994/5 he was working as a Project Manager for an earlier version of Crossrail. Robert had a variety of interests including fine art, travel and Morris Dancing, dancing with the Letchworth Morris Men for many years. Letchworth Morris formed a guard of honour at his funeral. The eulogy was written and delivered by Robert's youngest daughter Angela Adams at St. Andrews Church, Biggleswade on the 16th November 2020. Due to COVID restrictions only 30 people were permitted to attend the funeral. This included all immediate family, including Robert's twin brother Gordon, and his younger brother Clive. The celebrant was Rosemary Bentley. Robert is buried in Kelsoe Woods, Bedford.
