Wearing dark trousers, single breasted jacket with wide cuffs, waistcoat and tie or cravat with white shirt. Appears to be watch chain. Full length view of woman seated to man’s right in foreground with her hands resting on her lap. Wearing dark striped gown with square yoke, high collar and lace and broach at throat. Hair smoothed back from central parting covering ears. Appears to be dark ribbon on hair. Feet appear to be resting on curved footstool. Annotations on woman’s dress appear to be photographer’s markings. At bottom ‘Thomas Johnson, Leicester’ just visible. Information from depositor indicates that these are John Shipley Ellis and Silena Ellis. Appears to have been taken at the same time as Z1756/16.
