Full length full face view of woman wearing light full length skirt with dark jacket with lace at throat. Hair appears to be smoothed back into bun from central parting covering ears. Wearing dark hat with feathers. Child with short hair and wearing dark jacket with lace collar over tartan style skirt. Appears to have knee length trouser on beneath skirt. Also ankle boots and socks. No scenery behind and appears to be wooden floorboards. Written at bottom ‘Rowe, Photo, Leicester’. Information from depositor indicates that this is Silena Ellis and John Shipley Ellis [born 1865].
